Call for Training at GEOINT 2018
August 8, 2017
USGIF is offering the opportunity to conduct training and education sessions during the GEOINT 2018 Symposium, April 22-25 at the Tampa Convention Center in Tampa, FL.
To be considered to present a training class at GEOINT 2018, submit the following five items to firstname.lastname@example.org no later than Friday, Sept. 29.
- A 1-page/400-word description of why this class will be of value to GEOINT 2018 attendees
- Course outline with learning objectives
- Course materials to include presentation slides
- Instructor/presenter biography
- Contact information for instructor.
If the instructor is not creating the course, please also provide course creator experience/biography and contact information.
The required 400-word/1-page description should concisely state what is the value of the proposed training and why an attendee would stay for the two-hour duration. The instructor(s) should be able to answer the following question: “Why is my course compelling?”
All presentation slides should be submitted on a blank 16×9 PowerPoint template. Please DO NOT use company or Microsoft templates. For the final, approved training materials, presenters will use a provided USGIF template. It is the responsibility of each presenting organization to format all training materials to fit this template.
USGIF will review materials of complete application packages from USGIF member organizations, working groups, and accredited schools. USGIF will notify companies on or before Oct. 31 whether they have been accepted to present at GEOINT 2018.
If selected to present at GEOINT 2018 a final draft of training slides must be submitted to USGIF by Nov. 30. Instructions on scheduling a full review of the training will accompany selection notification.
Several accepted training providers will be selected at random to present their final course materials to USGIF in early 2018. If an organization is unable to schedule a training evaluation session, an alternative training may be selected as a replacement.
USGIF reserves the right to cancel any training at any time.
