New CENTCOM Keynote Speakers Announced for Wednesday

U.S. Central Command Deputy Commander Lt. Gen. Charles Q. Brown Jr. and Chairman of Coalition Forces CENTCOM Brig. Gen. Hans llis-Alm, Sweden, have both confirmed their participation.
Lt. Gen. Brown and Brig. Gen. Ilis-Alm will take the stage Wednesday morning, April 25, starting at 9 a.m., to kick off the final day of great programming at GEOINT 2018.
General Brown was commissioned in 1984 as a distinguished graduate of the ROTC program at Texas Tech University. He has served in a variety of positions at the squadron and wing level, including an assignment to the U.S. Air Force Weapons School as an F16 instructor. His notable staff tours include aide-de-camp to the Chief of Staff of the Air Force; Director, Secretary of the Air Force and Chief of Staff Executive Action Group and Deputy Director, Operations, U.S. Central Command. He also served as a National Defense Fellow at the Institute for Defense Analyses.
Gen. Ilis-Alm is also Swedish Senior National Representative at the U.S. Central Command that the Department of Defense describes as “the unified command responsible for U.S. security interests in 27 nations that stretch from the Horn of Africa through the Arabian Gulf region, into Central Asia.” He has been in military service since the late 1970s and his career has involved leadership and policy planning as well as field assignments. He commanded units in the Balkans, Afghanistan and in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
