Call for Lightning Talks

USGIF invites you to participate in Lightning Talks during the GEOINT 2018 Symposium in Tampa, Fla.

USGIF Organizational Members, Individual Members, and Academic Partners/Accredited School representatives are invited to submit Lightning Talk proposals. Those selected will be showcased on Monday and Tuesday afternoons.

All submissions must be emailed to ets@usgif.org no later than 5 p.m. EST on Feb. 26.

The awards program annually recognizes the exceptional work of the brightest minds and innovative organizations in the global multi-faceted GEOINT Community.

Young Professionals Golden Ticket Program Now Open

USGIF’s GEOINT 2018 Symposium Golden Ticket Program is now open and accepting applications. Each year, USGIF offers the Golden Ticket program as an opportunity for young professionals to win free registration to the GEOINT Symposium and an exclusive opportunity to meet and hear from seniors and innovators in the GEOINT world in a personal setting.

Only a handful of candidates who apply are selected, but the program includes private networking events, luncheons with government seniors, and admission to the chairman’s reception, among other opportunities.

DEADLINE TODAY: Call for Training at GEOINT 2018

USGIF is offering the opportunity to conduct training and education sessions during the GEOINT 2018 Symposium, April 22-25 at the Tampa Convention Center in Tampa, FL.

USGIF organizational members, accredited programs, and working groups may apply to present a two-hour class related to global GEOINT topics with a focus on human security and national or homeland security.

The purpose of these training sessions are for geospatial intelligence subject matter experts to provide updates on new topics, applications, technology, policy, and tradecraft. All training sessions are learning opportunities for attendees. Organizational promotion by presenters is not permitted.

The deadline to submit is no later than today, Friday, Sept. 29 at 5 p.m. PDT.

THANK YOU FOR A GREAT GEOINT 2017

Bringing together 3,883 attendees and 240 exhibiting organizations, USGIF’s GEOINT 2017 Symposium gathered the global GEOINT Community to discuss opportunities and solve challenges.

GEOINT 2017, held June 4-7 at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas, was the 13th annual Symposium and this year’s theme was “Advancing Capabilities to Meet Emerging Threats.” The Symposium focused on how next generation capabilities and processes such as machine learning and artificial intelligence, cloud computing, agile and enterprise acquisition efforts, object-based production, and change detection—to name a few—are shaping the face of intelligence analysis.

Among the attendees were 675 government and military personnel, including more than 200 representatives from the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency. There was also strong international participation from 34 countries. Among this year’s attendees were 211 young professionals and 104 participants from academia.
